Benefits of an HVAC Encapsulation

In encapsulating an HVAC system with IAQ-8000, a glossy finished sealant that prevents airborne contaminants from spreading throughout a Duct System and therefore possibly causing an even greater problem.

The flexible texture in IAQ-8000 allows it to last for years to come and also safely maintain the insulation fibers in ductwork so that conditioned air can be delivered safely and most importantly, clean.

Successfully tested to ASTM standard C-411 “Hot Surface Performance of a Coating on Glass Fiber Blanket Insulation”, ASTM E-84 Class A  fire rated, meets requirements of NFPA 90A/90B standard.

Why Should You Encapsulate Your System?

Energy Savings

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 25 to 40 percent of the energy used for heating or cooling is wasted. Contaminants in the heating and cooling system cause it to work harder and shorten the life of your system.

Although filters are used, the heating and cooling system still gets dirty through normal use. When an HVAC system is clean, it doesn’t have to work as hard to maintain the temperature you desire. As a result, less energy is used, leading to improved cost-effectiveness.

Encapsulating

Indoor air quality is one concern that building managers and building inhabitants have when they decide to investigate HVAC system. Once inspected, an HVAC cleaning is done and very thoroughly a vacuum HEPA clean is done on the area that is to be Encapsulated. After both assessments are complete, the encapsulation process begins.
